NORTEC® Technology: Concrete Floor Refinement
Our process is more than just ordinary concrete surface treatment. It is an advanced surface transformation:
First, maximum concrete refinement
We leverage 20 years of experience in research and development to offer concrete smoothing without compromising its structure. Unlike traditional, invasive diamond grinding, our method of molecular wet cutting with NORTEC® POLISH microsilica works with the precision of “shaving.” The result is a perfectly smooth surface free of micro-damage and greater floor durability.
In this way, we are ushering in a new era of innovation in concrete polishing—always with the goal of consistently meeting our customers’ expectations.
Second, effective concrete impregnation
Our liquid mineral-based formulations containing sodium silicate (NORTEC® DENSE N), amorphous silica (NORTEC® HARD), and lithium silicate with a small polymer additive (NORTEC® PROTECT), in combination with substances naturally present in concrete, cause further hardening, eliminate dusting, and reduce the water absorption of the concrete surface.
After a single treatment, the floor remains permanently resistant to abrasion and dust, is easy to maintain, and requires no costly upkeep. The selection of sealants depends on the substrate, the condition of the surface, and the type of concrete floor finish chosen by our customers.
Third, professional concrete cleaning
A refined, hardened, and dust-free concrete floor achieves the desired functional properties and aesthetic appearance, which originate from deep within the material and are visible on the surface.
With proper care and maintenance, these qualities can be preserved long-term and significantly influence the condition of the floor. NORTEC® CLEAN is an environmentally friendly cleaning agent designed for the daily removal of dirt from concrete or screed surfaces. Regular use helps extend the life of the concrete floor, improve its appearance, and reduce maintenance costs. Dirt is removed without leaving streaks or dulling the floor.
