Exclusive race cars require a setting that highlights their dynamism and precision of craftsmanship. For Martindi GmbH, the company responsible for the BMW M Driving Experience, we have created a floor that combines raw industrial aesthetics with a luxurious high-gloss finish.
The Challenge: Restoring Details for a Perfect Display
The new concrete floor in the showroom lacked proper protection, and numerous hairline cracks appeared on its surface, detracting from the showroom’s aesthetic appeal. In the premium automotive industry, there is no room for compromise—the floor must be just as flawless as the vehicles on display.
Technology: Diamond polishing and micro-filling
To achieve a “mirror-like” finish, we used a multi-step restoration process:
- Textured filling: We used a specialized concrete filler that permanently filled the hairline cracks, creating a uniform surface.
- Diamond polishing: By gradually increasing the grit size of the tools, we were able to bring out the aggregate’s natural luster and achieve a high degree of light reflection.
- Premium Sealing: The NORTEC® products used not only hardened the floor but also made it resistant to tire marks and spills of operating fluids.
Result: A high-end showroom
The end result is a floor with a flawless shine that visually enlarges the space and perfectly showcases the sleek lines of sports cars. Thanks to our technology, the Martindi GmbH showroom now features a floor that is easy to maintain, slip-resistant, and ready to impress even the most demanding car enthusiasts.
